What is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient Japanese form of energy healing.“ Rei” meaning “universal” and “Ki” meaning “life force energy.” Reiki promotes deep relaxation and supports the body’s innate healing abilities. Reiki is used by a trained practitioner as a technique for stress reduction, relaxation and energy balancing. This spiritual energy is utilized for energy balancing via in person, long-distance or remote treatments, as the energy knows no distance. Reiki energy can be guided to humans and animals as well. It’s a very simple and powerful healing technique that aids to balance out the energy systems of the body which often leads to improvements in health, better stress management, and an overall improved sense of wellbeing. It has a positive effect – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It can be very centering and increase one's intuition.
How does Reiki work?
Reiki is offered by a trained practitioner. The practitioner acts as a conduit between the client and the source of the life force energy. He or she does not need to touch the body — Reiki can be done “hands-on” or “hands-off” and it an be done in person or via a distance healing session. Either way, the practitioner uses a variety of hand placements guiding the energy where it is most needed in the body.
